For the third time in less that 3 months Sedo.com are holding a .me auction.
For the life of me I cannot understand why people are actually buying this manufactured over hyped extension.Reminds of “boy bands” that were cobbled together to make a few &’s and then mainly disappearing up their own backsides.
The previous 2 auctions have been never before released registry reserved and have been at least good keywords.Still wouldn’t have bought one myself but simply my opinion.
This lot are a very average bunch of names being promoted as:
“Sedo and Brands-and-Jingles are releasing 190 premium .ME domain names like shared.me, upload2.me, interesting.me, knows.me, dislike.me, n-y.me, listed.me, keyboard.me, healthcover.me, tagged.me and more at the level of the nominal prices ranging between $149 and $999.”
I know the domain market is in dire straits with prices and sales tumbling and Sedo are probably selling less now than in the last couple of years but this is a bit much don’t you think.
I appreciate they were shamed in to losing a market with the fake ASCII looking IDN that they were allowing to be sold with shill bids for a few months but surely there must be other options?
